1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to websites, mobile apps, desktop apps, services, and related support operated by Christie Software (collectively, the “Services”). It includes Christie Software apps made available through the Apple App Store, Google Play, TestFlight, beta programs, and other distribution channels.
Not every part of this policy applies to every Service. The information an individual app accesses depends on its features, the permissions you grant, and the choices you make. App-specific notices, permission prompts, and store privacy disclosures provide additional details and control if they differ from this general policy.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the Service you use, we may collect or process the following categories of information:
- Information you provide: your name, email address, support messages, account details, feedback, and other information you choose to submit.
- User content: information you create, save, upload, or share through an app, such as preferences, notes, trip or stay details, photos, files, device names, or configuration data.
- Location information: approximate or precise location when a location-based feature requires it and you grant permission. Some features may use location in the background when clearly disclosed and enabled.
- Connected-device and sensor information: Bluetooth, local-network, battery, power-system, weather, or other equipment data when you use a feature that connects to or monitors compatible hardware or services.
- Device and technical information: device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, browser type, identifiers, network status, and similar technical details.
- Usage, diagnostics, and performance information: feature interactions, crash reports, error logs, performance data, and analytics that help us understand reliability and improve the Services.
- Purchase information: product, subscription, entitlement, and transaction status associated with purchases. Apple, Google, or another payment provider processes your payment details; we generally do not receive your full payment-card information.
On our website, Vercel Web Analytics may process technical and usage information, and Formspree processes the information you submit through our contact form. These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may also receive information from third-party services you choose to connect, platform providers, service providers working on our behalf, and publicly available sources. We collect information automatically only as allowed by your device settings, app permissions, and applicable law.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, personalize, synchronize, and maintain the Services;
- connect to compatible devices and deliver requested app features;
- process purchases, confirm entitlements, and manage subscriptions;
- respond to questions, support requests, and feedback;
- send service-related notices and, where permitted, optional notifications;
- monitor performance, diagnose problems, prevent fraud or misuse, and protect security;
- analyze and improve our products and develop new features; and
- comply with law and enforce our agreements.
4. When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may disclose information in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: vendors that provide hosting, cloud storage, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, communications, security, and similar services on our behalf.
- Platform and payment providers: Apple, Google, and other providers involved in app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, and platform features.
- At your direction: when you connect a third-party service, share content, or otherwise ask us to disclose information.
- Legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests; protect rights, safety, and security; or investigate fraud or misuse.
- Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Third-party services may process information under their own privacy policies. Apple and Google also receive information independently when you use their stores, operating systems, and related services.
5. App permissions and your controls
An app may request access to features such as location, Bluetooth, local network, notifications, photos, camera, files, or background activity. A permission is requested when it supports a feature you use. You can grant, limit, or revoke permissions in your device settings, although some features may stop working as a result.
You can also adjust in-app settings, unsubscribe from optional communications, manage subscriptions through the store where you purchased them, and disconnect linked devices or services. Uninstalling an app stops future collection from that installation but does not automatically delete information already stored in our systems.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain legitimate business records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the Service involved, and whether an account remains active.
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law, including for security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
Our general-audience Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without legally valid consent. If a particular Service is intended for children or families, its listing and notices will explain any different practices and controls. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to this policy, please contact us so we can review and address it.
9. Regional privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; or to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to appeal our response or contact a local data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Christie Software is based in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services and legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. If a change is material, we may also provide notice through the affected Service or another appropriate channel.
11. Contact us
